Experience

Mr. Ghosh has advised institutions, governed them and built them.

P Ghosh & Co is led by Partha Ghosh, a Chartered Accountant whose experience spans professional advisory, board leadership, financial services, technology and business ownership.

Each role changes how the next is understood.

Across advice, oversight & execution

  • 01Chartered accountancy and systems- audit discipline
  • 02Former Sr. Manager PwC Botswana
  • 03Chairperson, CB Bank Limited Botswana
  • 04Founder and leadership experience across specialist ventures

Experience

Experience on both sides of the recommendation

As a former Senior Manager at PwC Botswana, Partha worked within the disciplines, standards and accountability of a global professional-services environment.

His subsequent experience as a board chair, founder and business leader introduced a different responsibility: not only recommending what should be done, but living with the consequences of the decision.

That distinction shapes the firm today.

Advice must withstand technical scrutiny. It must also work within the realities of leadership, capital, regulation, capability and execution.

Professional Advisory

Rigour formed within a global advisory environment.

01

Professional foundation

Rigour formed within a global advisory environment.

A foundation in chartered accountancy and information systems audit established rigour in financial analysis, controls, reviews and accountable delivery.

It supports disciplined reading of how information, risk and decision-making operate within an institution.

02

Board & Governance

A direct view of those carrying responsibility.

As Chairperson of CB Bank Limited, Partha works at the point where strategy, financial performance, regulation, executive leadership and stakeholder confidence meet.

This perspective informs a simple principle: Advice is useful only when it helps those carrying responsibility exercise better judgement.

03

Ownership and Execution

The perspective of the person who must make it work.

Through founding and co-founding businesses across financial services, investment and technology, Partha has experienced the realities that advisory work alone cannot fully replicate.

Capital is finite. Timing matters. Capability takes time to build. The technically ideal answer may not be possible today.

This experience allows the firm to engage credibly with founders, management teams and investors without reducing the matter to theory.

04

Finance & Technology

Understanding transformation as an organisational change—not a systems project.

Mr. Ghosh's background in accounting and information systems supports an integrated view of finance, technology and governance.

The firm therefore assesses transformation through a broader question: How will the organisation record, interpret, govern and act on information after the change?

05

Southern Africa

Regionally grounded. International in standard.

The firm's experience is rooted in Botswana and the wider Southern African business environment.

This brings a practical understanding of regulated markets, cross-border relationships, developing institutional structures and the realities facing organisations operating beyond the world's largest commercial centres.

The context is regional. The expected standard is not.

Credential and Leadership roles

The experience is grounded in a professional foundation and applied through senior institutional and enterprise roles.

Professional Foundation

  • Chartered Accountant, Institute of Chartered Accountants India
  • Diploma in Information Systems Audit
  • Member, Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants

Leadership and institutional roles

  • Former Senior Manager, PwC Botswana
  • Chairperson, CB Bank, Botswana
  • Founder, FinSef Pty Ltd.
  • Co-Founder, SG Capital Pty Ltd.
  • Co-founder, Finica Africa.

The experience is especially relevant where finance, governance, regulation and transformation intersect and where the quality of judgement matters as much as the technical answer.

View Selected Matters

In Practice

The ability to see the complete matter.

What does the board need to understand? What can management execute?

What does the investor require? What will satisfy regulatory and professional expectations?

What will the organisation still be able to sustain after the immediate pressure has passed?

This is the practical meaning of senior judgement.
